Is My Business Eligible?
As a State-sponsored program, Healthcare Group of Arizona (HCG) is subject to State laws and any changes made by the Legislature to those laws. In order to obtain healthcare coverage through HCG, your business must complete the applicable enrollment materials and must also meet the guidelines set forth by the State Legislature, as well as all proof of business eligibility requirements.
To be eligible to enroll in HCG, an Employer Group may be a sole proprietor with employees, corporation or limited liability corporation with employees and there must be a minimum of two (2) to a maximum of fifty (50) eligible full-time employees (working 20 hours or more) on the effective date of the original enrollment. There is a minimum participation requirement based upon the number of eligible full-time employees. Additional eligibility requirements include:
- An Employer is required to conduct business within the State of Arizona for a minimum of sixty (60) days before enrolling in HCG coverage.
- Due to the bare period legislation requirements, an enrolling business must be uninsured and have been uninsured as a business for over 90 days.
